Taking Careful Measurements Will Assure The Best Possible Fit

Measurement Guide

Orders must be accompanied by sizes only, not measurements.  Please help us give prompt service on your order by specifying actual sizes desired and whether for children or adults.  Please do not use street size comparisons or other companies' measurement charts.  Measurements must be taken in inches ALL AROUND the body.

How to Measure Girth

Hold end of tape measure on top of shoulder.  Run tape down front of body, through crotch and back up the same shoulder.  Allow for curves of bust and abdomen.  Measure comfortably over buttocks and into small of back.  This gives you total girth measurement.

Size Ranges

Our costumes may be sized in the catalog description either alphabetically (SC, LC, PET, XLA) or numerically (4C, 12C, 8A, 18A). Please note them appropriately on your order form.

When taking measurements, be sure to anticipate growth. Even a few months in a child's life can make a big difference in the size needed on the recital stage.

Hints

  1. Within your chosen size range, if the hip and/ or waist measurements are larger than shown, additional girth may need to be allowed. This could possibly mean considering the next size.
  2. When in doubt, size up. Your parents would rather take a tuck than have a costume too tight.
  3. Remember – Size 8A (Petite) is designed to fit a long, slender figure. Note that the measurements are smaller than a 14C.
